Two-Stage Heating and Cooling: ML16KP2-036-230 Heat Pump
The ML16KP2 two-stage scroll compressor runs at about 67% of its full capacity in mild weather and steps up to full capacity on the hottest and coldest days. Longer, lower-capacity cycles keep indoor temperatures steadier and remove more humidity in summer. The Quantum™ Coil uses a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy, and the precision-balanced direct-drive outdoor fan keeps sound levels as low as 72 dBA.
Consistent Airflow: CBK45UHVT-036-71 Air Handler
The CBK45UHVT variable-speed blower keeps airflow consistent to prevent temperature swings. Its all-aluminum Quantum™ Coil resists corrosion, the fully insulated cabinet reduces sound and helps prevent cabinet sweating in humid weather, and the antimicrobial drain pan resists mold and mildew. A built-in Refrigerant Detection System (RDS) stops the compressor and runs the blower if it senses a refrigerant leak.
Backup Heat: ECB45-15CB Electric Heat Kit
The ECB45-15CB adds 15 kW of electric heat for the coldest days. Helix-wound nichrome elements sit directly in the airstream for fast heat transfer, each element has its own limit control, and the factory-wired circuit breakers protect against overloads and can serve as the disconnect at the unit in many areas.
